EAGLE Plan
The EAGLE Plan is a positive behavior program that has students continuously self-evaluating their participation in behaviors which lead to successful academic achievement and excellence of character.

The EAGLE Plan is a level system where each letter of the word EAGLE begins a program level title: Excellence, Achievement, Goal Setting, Learning and Entering.

Students receive a three-ring binder with the explanation of the program, Summit SchoolÕs Student Handbook and daily tabulation sheets. Students carry the binder throughout the day and home each evening.

Each day students self-evaluate their positive behaviors. At the end of each period, students record points for that particular period. A studentÕs daily homework assignments are on the back of the sheet. Parents are encouraged to review how students progress throughout the day and check on homework assignments.

In addition to the behaviors that lead to academic success, the program uses the six pillars of the Character Counts Curriculum: Respect; Responsibility; Caring; Trustworthiness; Fairness and Citizenship; and the Positive Behavior Intervention System (PBIS). Used for many years at Summit School, the PBIS program emphasizes students and staff catching students engaging in positive behaviors.
